Benjamin Vaughan was born circa 1746 at Fairfield Co, Connecticut. He was the son of Benjamin Vaughan and Rose (?). Benjamin Vaughan died after 1836 at St John's, Iberville Co, Quebec.
Fairfield County Probate records show that on 17 April 1760, Benjamin "son of Benjamin Vaughan", being of lawful age, for the choice of a guardian has chosen James McKeney of New Milford. Evidentally, that did not work out, because on 26 Jun 1760, Benjamin dismissed James McKeney from his charges of guardianship and made choice of his brother Joseph Vaughan of New Fairfield to be his guardian. The court approved the chnage.1
