     Rebecca Towner was born circa 1736 at Goshen, Litchfield Co, Connecticut.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Towner and Amy Ward. Rebecca Towner married Josephus Vaughan, son of Benjamin Vaughan and Rose (?), on 5 June 1754 at New Fairfield Congregational Church, New Fairfield, Fairfield Co, Connecticut; Performed by Ephraim Hubbell, JP.1 Rebecca Towner died on 12 August 1823 at St John's, Iberville Co, Quebec.
     About 1790, Rebecca Towner Vaughn, then a widow, went to live with her son, Harmon in Quebec.1
