     Isaac Briggs Salls was born on 25 December 1841 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Salls and Lydia A. Tryon. Isaac Briggs Salls was baptized on 8 May 1842 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Mary Melissa Derick, daughter of William Derick and Clarinda Scott, on 12 February 1862 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Briggs Salls was of Stanstead and Mary was of Clarenceville.3 Isaac Briggs Salls died on 25 January 1905 at Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire, at age 63; carcinoma of stomach. He was buried in 1905 at Village Cemetery, Beebe, Stanstead Co, Quebec.
      Isaac Briggs Salls was also known as Briggs Salls.4 He appeared on the census of 1881 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Briggs Salls, 39, Mary Salls, 36, along with sons Edgar, 17, LLoyd, 7 and Earnest, 3 mos (born January). The family was Wesleyan Methodist.4
