Samuel Wait was born on 12 October 1701 at N. Kingstown, Washington Co, Rhode Island.¹ He was the son of Samuel J. Wait Jr and Alice Wightman. Samuel Wait married Sarah Greene circa 1724. Samuel Wait died after 1756.
Samuel Wait's father gave him land in Exeter, Rhode Island on 3 December 1751. In 1756 Samuel and his wife Sarah signed a deed selling their land there. It is not known where they went at this time (1990).²
