Peter Daniel Longeway was born on 29 August 1817 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Nicholas Longeway and Hannah Rowe. Peter Daniel Longeway was baptized on 8 February 1818 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ He married Mary Elizabeth Garland on 1 January 1846 at Russelltown, Huntingdon Co, Quebec. Peter Daniel Longeway died on 30 June 1890 at age 72. He was buried at Fitch Bay, Stanstead Co, Quebec.
He and Mary Elizabeth Garland appeared on the census of 1881 at Magog, Stanstead Co, Quebec, and were Wesleyan Methodist.²
