Israel Stone
M, b. 9 April 1760, d. 1795
Israel Stone was born on 9 April 1760 at Greenwich, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.1 He married Lucy Patterson, daughter of Jacob Patterson and Isabel Bell, before 1789 at Salem, Washington Co, New York. Israel Stone died in 1795 at Pittsford, Monroe Co, New York.
Israel Stone is also written about in "Northfield on the Genesee.." as he was one of the co-purchasers of Pittsford. There is a state marker which says "The first house in Pittsford Village was erected on this spot by Israel Stone in 1789". In 1789, Israel Stone moved to Pittsford, Monroe Co, New York of which he and his cousin Simon Stone were original settlers.2
