James Yearns Covey was born on 8 June 1812 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ He was the son of Samuel Covey Jr. and Permelia Burr. James Yearns Covey was baptized on 25 June 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co., Quebec.² He married Isabella Radcliffe on 13 May 1844 at Gananoque, Leeds Co, Ontario. James Yearns Covey died on 26 March 1877 at Leeds Co, Ontario, at age 64. He was buried in 1877 at Glen Elbe Cemetery, Lot 4, Concession 8, Yonge, Leeds Co, Ontario.
