Gabriel Wheldon

     Gabriel Wheldon was born circa 1590 at Nottinghamshire, England. He married Margaret (?).¹ Gabriel Wheldon married Jane (?) circa 1611 at Nottinghamshire, England.² Gabriel Wheldon died circa 1654 at Malden, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts. His estate was probated on 4 April 1654; After the Will was probated and his widow, Margaret, was named as sole heir and executrix, his children protested.¹
     The first evidence of Gabriel Wheldon in New England was on 29 June 1639 when his daughter Katherine wrote a letter back to England reporting the death of her sister, Martha, of Dedham after drowning some 12 days previous. By October that year, he was of Yarmouth. About 1648, he was of Malden, where he died between 11 Feb 1653/54 and 4 April 1654. He left most of his estate to his second wife Margaret.³ He left a will on 11 February 1653/54 at Massachusetts.¹
