Amasa Mandigo was born on 28 October 1819 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Levi Mandigo and Elizabeth Boomhower. He married Martha Melissa Allen on 1 July 1844 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St Armand Methodist Church.
