On 16 January 1836, Ira Flagg came before notary Leon Lalanne and under the title of Donation "declared... that from Parental regard & affection for his beloved son Isaac Flagg - and with a view to his future welfare in this world" gave Isaac Lot #4 in the Seigniory of Foucault, one bureau, six dining chairs, one single stove, one single sleigh, one plough, two maple tables and ten sheep. According to this same document, Ira Flagg was noted to be a millwright. Should Isaac not survive his parents, they reserve the right to reclaim these articles. For these items, Isaac Flagg needed to keep up the charges on the lot by the deed of concession which were then in arrears, offer "comfortable support and maintenance" of his parents, and also offer support to his younger siblings, namely: Ira, Phebe, Robert and Elisha until they reached 21 years of age or married. It is through this document we learn the maiden name of Ira's wife Nancy to be Colton.5
