Stephen Salls Flagg

     Stephen Salls Flagg was born on 31 May 1817 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec. He was the son of Ira Flagg and Nancy Colton. Stephen Salls Flagg was baptized on 28 June 1818 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St George's Anglican Church. He married Harriet Ann Herrin, daughter of John Herrin and Harriet (?), on 23 August 1848 at probably Waterville, Lamoille Co, Vermont.¹ Stephen Salls Flagg died after 1850 at Waterville, Lamoille Co, Vermont; present in 1850 census, but his wife was a alone with children 1860. He died in 1860 at Lamoille Co, Vermont; Stephen's name shows up on the Mortality Schedule for Lamoille Co, Vermont.
     He was Physician. The 1850 baptismal record for Byron the son of Stephen Salls Flagg says they were then of Waterville, Vermont. The 1856 baptismal record at Clarenceville Anglican for Frances and Charles indicates the family was then residing in Johnson, Vermont. Further research is needed on this branch.
