     Ruth Rice was born on 2 April 1662 at Sudbury, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Matthew Rice and Martha Lamson. Ruth Rice married Joseph Hastings, son of Thomas Hastings and Margaret Cheney, on 21 November 1682. Ruth Rice died on 28 January 1682/83 at Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 20.2
