     Sarah Jane Salls was born on 31 August 1840 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; The death certificate gave Stanstead as place of birth. The baptism indicates they were of Clifton.1,2 She was the daughter of Abraham Salls and Sophia Bissell. Sarah Jane Salls was baptized on 7 March 1841 at Eaton Congregational Church, Eaton, Compton Co, Quebec.1 She married an unknown person on 8 November 1873 at Nashua, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; George was 23 years old and Jennie was 27, both were living in Nashua.3,4 She died on 17 March 1887 at Leeds Co, Ontario, at age 46; Jane had congestion of the lungs for 6-8 weeks and was aged 42 years.2
      As of 8 November 1873, Sarah Jane Salls was also known as Jennie S. Salls.4,3
