Josiah Hastings was born on 28 February 1728 at Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts. He was the son of Joseph Hastings and Lydia Brown. Josiah Hastings married Lydia Ball on 4 June 1752. Josiah Hastings died on 10 August 1802 at Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 74; of Waltham in 1752. He was buried at Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.
