     Thankful Hastings was born on 12 October 1736 at Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Joseph Hastings and Lydia Brown. Thankful Hastings married Elnathan Allen, son of Israel Allen and Elizabeth Wheelock, on 31 May 1753 at Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; He was of Shrewsbury, MA. Thankful Hastings died on 29 March 1807 at Shrewsbury, Worcester Co, Massachusetts, at age 70.
