     Russell Gibbs was born on 25 May 1807 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec. He was the son of Jeremiah Gibbs and Deborah Covey. Russell Gibbs was baptized on 16 July 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.1 He married Rosilla K. ? (?) circa 1831. Russell Gibbs died on 31 December 1883 at No. Bangor, Franklin Co, New York, at age 76.
