     John Young Gibbs was born on 13 February 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec. He was the son of Jeremiah Gibbs and Deborah Covey. John Young Gibbs was baptized on 16 July 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.1 He married Adelia A. Steenberge before 1840. John Young Gibbs died on 1 March 1901 at New York at age 86.2 He was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Bangor, Franklin Co, New York.3
