     John Burr Dent was born on 19 April 1841 at Clinton Co, New York.1 He was the son of Robert Thompson Dent and Mary Covey. John Burr Dent was baptized on 25 September 1842 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Ellen Aletta Hyatt on 10 August 1865 at Ripon, Fond Du Lac Co, Wisconsin; Diane Lee Struyk, letter dated 2 Dec 2000. John Burr Dent died on 26 November 1883 at Little Wolf, Waupaca Co, Wisconsin, at age 42.3 He was buried at Little Wolf Cemetery, Little Wolf, Waupaca Co, Wisconsin.
