John Vosburgh was born on 15 August 1808 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec. He was the son of Bartholomew Vosburgh and Margaret Derick. John Vosburgh was baptized on 4 March 1809 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Rev. Stewart's records on the Manors through 1815. He married Rachel Covey, daughter of Samuel Covey Jr. and Permelia Burr, after 1831. John Vosburgh died on 17 February 1885 at Harrietstown, Franklin Co, New York, at age 76.
