Theresa Covey was born circa 1866 at Leeds, Leeds Co, Ontario. She was the daughter of James Yearns Covey and Isabella Radcliffe. Theresa Covey married George A. Jackson on 26 March 1889 at Frankville(?), Ontario; Athens Reporter, 3 April 1889 lists the marriage. The actual marriage license indicates Theresa Covey was a spinster of Addison, Leeds Co and George A. Jackson was of Gananoque, Leeds Co. Rev Stiles performed the marriage - he was of the Kitley Mission.
It is likely that Theresa Covey was a school teacher. The "Athens Reporter" mentioned in a piece that "Thereacy" Covey had passed the examination in 1884.
