Myron Lewis Tryon

     Myron Lewis Tryon was born in March 1853 at New York. He was the son of Stillman Lewis Tryon and Martha Bond. Myron Lewis Tryon married Elizabeth Luzetta Gilson circa 1875. Myron Lewis Tryon died in 1929.¹ He was buried in 1929 at Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore, Montcalm Co, Michigan; Lewis Tryon 1853-1929.¹
     He appeared on the census of 22 August 1870 at Lyons Twp., Ionia Co, Michigan; Lewis was aged 18, a laborer, listed as born Michigan, who was living with the William Upson family.² He appeared on the census of 1880 at Edmore, Montcalm Co, Michigan; He was listed as Louis Tryon, 27, b. NY; wife Elizabeth L, 24, b. IN, James B., 4 and Ethel M., 2, both b. Michigan. They also had a boarder, Jane Rockwell, listed as "wife", 27, born Indiana.³ As of 1910, Myron Lewis Tryon was also known as Lewis Tryon.⁴ He appeared on the census of April 1910 at Belvidere Twp., Montcalm Co, Michigan; Lewis Tryon, 54 and Elizabeth 53 were living with son Stillman L. They had been married 35 years and had five children, all living.⁴ He appeared on the census of 2 January 1920 at Belvidere, Montcalm Co, Michigan; Lewis Tryon, 66, Etta, 63, and son Stillman, 23 were enumerated together. Lewis was born New York, father born Canada and mother born New York.⁵
