Clarence Covey was born in December 1875; gravestone aged 16 yrs 8 mos. He was the son of Henry Covey and Emma Chase. Clarence Covey died on 21 August 1892 at Lewis Co, New York, at age 16; Clarence and his brother were both in a canoe" made from a pine log from Turtle Point. He apparantly moved to one side, causing it to tip, when he then fell into Big Moose Lake and drowned.
