Alexander Edwards
M, d. 4 September 1690
Alexander Edwards married Sarah Baldwin, daughter of Richard Baldwin and Isabell (?), on 28 April 1642 at Springfield, Hampden Co, Massachusetts. Alexander Edwards died on 4 September 1690 at Northampton, Hampshire Co, Massachusetts.
Alexander Edwards was probably a native of Wales, since it is known that he did live there at one time, and the part of Northampton in which he settled was refered to as "Welsh End". He settled in Springfield in 1640, and was a proprietor and town officer in 1643. After 1655 he removed to Northampton as one of its first settlers. In 1690 both he and his wife died, only one month between them. Their deaths probably were caused by an epidemic that went through Northampton at that time.
