Margaret R. Denecia was born on 16 November 1839 at New York.^1,2 She married Heman B. Covey, son of George Covey and Nancy McGregor. Margaret R. Denecia died on 4 February 1917 at Trinity Avenue, Lowville, St Lawrence Co, New York, at age 77; Margaret Covey had been living with her daughter, Mrs. M.L. Petrie, and had been very ill for at least a year. She was survived by three sons and two daughters: John Putman of Hagarman, NY, Burt Covey of California, D.E. Covey of Lynchburg, VA, Mrs. C.C. Cone of Canastota, and Mrs.M.L. Petrie of Lowville.³ She was buried at Jacox Cemetery, Long Pond Road, Croghan, Lewis Co, New York.¹
