     George Tallman was born on 8 February 1846 at Hemmingford, Huntingdon Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Dexter Tallman and Hannah Jeandreau. George Tallman married Eliza Bobee circa 1864. George Tallman died on 31 July 1864 at age 18; near Troy, NY?
     George Tallman enlisted 20 Nov 1862 at Mooers for the 96th Infantry as a Private. He was then single, and resided at Plattsburgh. He lost a hand in service.1
