Elizabeth Tallman

     Elizabeth Tallman was born in February 1856 at New York.¹ She was the daughter of Dexter Tallman and Hannah Jeandreau. Elizabeth Tallman married James Porcheron on 1 January 1873 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York; They were married at the home of Capt. E.M. Fitch by Rev. A. Hemenway. James was a resident of "St. Chrysostem, P.Q."^2,3 Elizabeth Tallman died on 2 August 1922 at 164 Duane Street, Malone, Franklin Co, New York, at age 66; Mrs. James D. Purcheron had died at her home from cancer of the stomach at age 66. She was a Christian woman and belonged to the Methodist church. The family surviving her included her husband, as well as brothers Thomas of Grafton, VT; James Tallman of Cheshire, MA; John Tallman of Mooers Forks, and sister Mrs Sarah Johnson of California.⁴ She was buried on 4 August 1922.⁴
