John Tallman was born circa 1818. He was the son of Humphrey Tallman and Sarah Gilfillan.
If John is, indeed, a son of Humphrey's [reference made to John, a deaf and dumb boy in his donation to David - see Humphrey], he would probably be the among the youngest. Since there appears to be a four year gap between 1816 and 1820, I have placed John there at about 1818. This is my guess, nothing more.1
