Scott was born on 20 May 1820 at
Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
1,2 She was the daughter of
William Scott and
Prudence Covey. Rachel Scott was baptized on 29 August 1832 at
Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
3 She married
William Henry Fadden on 4 March 1841 at
Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; They were both of Noyan at the time of marriage.
4 Rachel Scott died after 1860 at
Iowa.
On 1 April 1847, Samuel Covey and his wife sold land from Lot 5 in the 1st Concession of Noyan, o Rachel Scott. "wife of William Henry Fadden, their granddaughter". This was executed before Leon Dugas, notary, document #1729. The notary had written the names: Samuel Covey and Permalia Burr so they could make their marks. Both Rachel Scott and William H. Fadden wrote their names.
