     Martha Wait was born on 22 July 1875 at Waterville, Compton Co, Quebec.1 She was the daughter of Abraham Wait and Harriet N. Brown. Martha Wait was baptized on 29 August 1875 at Waterville, Compton Co, Quebec.1 She married Harold H. Layng, son of Henry Layng, on 3 September 1906 at Smith Falls, Lanark Co, Ontario.2 Martha Wait died on 18 July 1957 at Smith's Falls, Lanark Co, Ontario, at age 81.3
