George Franklin Wait was born on 1 November 1863 at Waterville, Compton Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Abraham Wait and Harriet N. Brown. George Franklin Wait was baptized on 25 December 1863 at Hatley Anglican Church, Hatley, Stanstead Co, Quebec.1 He married Jerusha Elizabeth Wharton, daughter of Thomas S. Wharton, on 24 May 1887 at Port Perry, Ontario Co, Ontario.2,3 George Franklin Wait died on 12 July 1938 at 217 Riverdale Ave, Toronto, York Co, Ontario, at age 74; George died at 6:45 PM.4,5 He was buried at St John's Cemetery, Port Whitby, Ontario.4

Wharton, his fa-in-law, 79, was b. England. George was b. Quebec, wife and children were b. Ontario.2
