Luke Rice was born on 30 November 1689 at Marlborough, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts. He was the son of Daniel Rice and Bethiah Ward. Luke Rice married Rachel Stow on 14 December 1715. Luke Rice died on 4 July 1754 at Shrewsbury, Worcester Co, Massachusetts, at age 64.
