Saxe was born on 20 April 1856. She was the daughter of
John Saxe and
Emily Ervin Covey. Johnetta Saxe married
Charles Mortimer Huxley on 23 May 1877 at
Cowansville, Brome Co, Quebec; Cowansville Methodist Church.
According to Alice Dent Dorey, daughter of Emily Susanna Saxe & William Dent, Johnetta died soon after her marriage and was buried in her wedding dress. Johnetta's marriage record lists her as Julia Etta, but this must have been an error on the clergy's part.
