Jacob
Salls was born on 16 February 1759 at
Salisbury, Litchfield Co, Connecticut.
1 He was the son of
Isaac Salls and
Hannah Hawley. Jacob Salls was baptized on 21 August 1770 at
New Canaan, Columbia Co, New York.
2 He married
Margaret Taylor circa 1779 at
Canaan, Columbia Co, New York; Margaret Taylor was a sister to Hannah Taylor, who married Solomon Curtis about 1783. They were also in the Canaan area and came to Clarenceville. In 1779, the Salls were still of Canaan so it is likely the marriage occurred there or the Stockbridge, MA area.
3 Jacob Salls married
Rebecca (?) after 1798. Jacob Salls died on 21 December 1839 at
Dunham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 80; Even though Rev. Townsend officiated over the burial, Jacob was said to be of Dunham, so this writer believes his death occurred there.
4 He was buried on 24 December 1839 at
St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
