     Joseph B. Tallman was born on 8 May 1847 at Quebec.1,2 He was the son of Gilbert Tallman and Emily J. Smith. Joseph B. Tallman married Sarah (?) before 1870 at Wisconsin.3 Joseph B. Tallman married Cordelia (?) circa 1882.4 Joseph B. Tallman died on 3 January 1910 at Comstock, Custer Co, Nebraska, at age 62.1
     He appeared on the census of 1900 at Burnhamville, Todd Co, Minnesota; Joseph B. Tallman, 53, Cordelia H., 38, Roya A., 14, Cordelia D., 13, and Ralph E., 12. Joseph and Cordelia had been married for 18 years, and she was mother to four children, all still living.4
