William Lester Tallman

     William Lester Tallman was born on 23 July 1847 at Canada/NY. He was the son of David Tallman and Aurilla Smith. William Lester Tallman was baptized on 16 March 1858 at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Russelltown, Huntingdon Co, Quebec. He married Emma Adeline Williams, daughter of Satterly Clark Williams and Julia Ann Hodgeman, on 4 July 1874 at Prairie Farm, Barron Co, Wisconsin; records of Irwin Tallman, 1994. William Lester Tallman died on 19 December 1932 at Chetek, Barron Co, Wisconsin, at age 85; records of Irwin Tallman, 1994. He was buried on 21 December 1932 at Lakeview Cemetery, Chetek, Barron Co, Wisconsin.¹
     In 1860, William listed as age 14 born Canada. In 1880, he and his wife Emily and family lived in Hixton, Jackson Co, Wisconsin, and he was aged 31. His parents were also living with him at that time, along with his sister Ida and brother Christopher. By 1900, William "Talman" was living at Maple Grace Town in Barron County, Wisconsin with his wife "Emma", eleven of his children, and his mother "Orilla".
