Charles H. Covey

     Charles H. Covey was born circa 1857 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont. He was the son of Stephen Covey and Eliza Jane Partlow. Charles H. Covey married Ellen Elizabeth Covey, daughter of John Young Covey and Roxana Hunter. Charles H. Covey died.
     He appeared on the census of 1870 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont, living with James Partlow, his wife Louisa and family. He appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Charles Covey, 44, b. Sept 1855, wife Ellen E., 41, b. Jan 1859, Eng Canada, married 20 years, having 5 children, all living. Also Christianna, 18, b. Jan 1882; John, 13, Nov 1886; Katie V., 10, b. June 1890; Roxie, 8, b. Oct 1891 and Nellie E., 2, b. May 1898.¹ He appeared on the census of 28 April 1910 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Charles Covey, 54 and wife Elizabeth, 52, married 28 years, six children, four still living. Also living with them were Hilliker, and his wife, their daughter, Roxie, 19 and daughter Anna, 2.² He appeared on the census of 1920 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Charles Covey, 63 and wife Ellen. Could not read the age - she was born Canada, but written over the entry was that she was a citizen.³
