James Scott Jr. was born circa 1801 at Henryville, Iberville Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of James Scott and Anna Willet. James Scott Jr. married Flavie Bonneau on 25 July 1825 at St Stephen's Anglican Church, Chambly, Chambly Co, Quebec.2 James Scott Jr. died on 19 November 1853 at St Luc, St Jean, Quebec.3
James Scott Jr. was also known as Jacques. He appeared on the census of 1851 at St Luc, St Jean Co, Quebec; James Scott, 50, farmer, sons Stephen, 23, John, 22, all Church of England; also James, 18, Sophie, 21, Eliza, 17, and Philomene, 15, all, Catholic and b. St Luc. Also listed in the household were Eliza Bertrand, 4 b. Farnham, and Flavie Bonneau, listed as 30, b. Laprairie, widow? Need to really look at this -- must be Flavie the dau, but can not figure out why listed as Bonneau and 10 yrs older. Did she marry a Bonneau? Curious that the father married a Flavie Bonneau...4,5
