Frank Brillus Covey

     Frank Brillus Covey was born on 10 January 1882 at Athens, Leeds Co, Ontario.^1,2,3 He was the son of Samuel Covey and Caroline Wood. Frank Brillus Covey married Iva Judd, daughter of Ira Judd and Nellie Cronk, on 21 July 1919 at Leeds, Leeds Co, Ontario.² Frank Brillus Covey died on 19 April 1935 at Kingston, Frontenac Co, Ontario, at age 53; He died of acute myocarditis, due to service.^4,5 He was buried at Athens UnitedCemetery, Athens, Leeds Co, Ontario.
     At the time of his enlistment in 1916, Frank was living in Athens, Ontario, as a labourer, Prebysterian, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Athens on 8 April 1916, taken on the strength on the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 Jan 1918. He invalided sick to England on 20 Sep 1918.⁶
