Adeline Covey

     Adeline Covey was born on 12 June 1832 at Russelltown, Huntingdon Co, Quebec.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Covey and Susan (?). Adeline Covey was baptized on 24 March 1846 at Russelltown, Huntingdon Co, Quebec, by Rev. M. McDonald.² She married Zephaniah Grimshaw before 1862; No evidence shows that Adeline Covey and Zephaniah Grimshaw were ever married. The 1861 census shows Adeline, 28, living in his household with a three year old, John Covey. Zephaniah was then aged 68. Adeline Covey died on 5 January 1881 at age 48.
     She appeared on the census of 10 October 1850 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York; Adaline Covey, 17, was living with the family of Erastus Hall or Hale, 35, b. VT, in 1850. She was likely working as a domestic as she was listed last, and did not appear to be any relation.³
