     Benjamin Covey was born on 8 January 1840. He was the son of Henry Covey and Susan (?). Benjamin Covey married Lucinda Grimshaw, daughter of Zephaniah Grimshaw and Asenath Nokes, circa 1882; Concerning the marriage, Bill O'Halloran has a most revealing letter dated 3 December 1882, written by his gr-grandmother, Susanna (Grimshaw) Odell to her mother, Lucinda (Covey) Grimshaw and her sister Euphemia. In part, "I must say your letter was very full of news and some surprised me so I could hardly believe it. The idea that Ben Covey would marry a woman as old as Aunt Lucinda is so astonishing."1 Benjamin Covey died on 29 October 1904 at age 64.2
