     Augustus M. Covey was born on 6 January 1851 at Westford, Chittenden Co, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Alfred Melville Covey and Jane Nokes Longeway. Augustus M. Covey married Armina Coffren, daughter of Marcia? Gomo and Mary Gerard, on 10 February 1879 at Cambridge, Lamoille Co, Vermont; Augustus was aged 27, 1st marriage.3 Augustus M. Covey died on 12 October 1910 at Fanny Allen Hospital, Colchester, Chittenden Co, Vermont, at age 59; He had carcinoma of the stomach.4
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Westford, Chittenden Co, Vermont; Augustus and his new wife, Armina, were living with her parents, Henry and Mary Coffren.5 He appeared on the census of 1900 at Westford, Chittenden Co, Vermont; Augustus Covey, 48 (Jan 1852), Armina, 44 (Oct 1855), married 21 years with one child, Clarence L, 17 (Jul 1882) and father-in-law, Henry Coffren, 79.2
