John J. Burton

     John J. Burton was born in May 1813; at sea. He married Margaret Wait, daughter of Ezra Wait and Hannah Kimmel, on 8 February 1838 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Alburgh Vital Records. John J. Burton died on 27 August 1882 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York, at age 69.¹ He was buried on 24 September 1913 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; The index card indicates he was removed from Burke, New York and was interred in Lot 706.¹
