Belinda Wheeler

     Belinda Wheeler was born on 28 January 1809 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of Joseph Wheeler and Hannah Brown. Belinda Wheeler was baptized on 5 October 1817 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ She married Allen Spoor, son of William Spoor and Rhoda Spoor, on 27 August 1826 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. Belinda Wheeler married Milton Scott, son of Thomas Scott Jr and Mary Bullis, on 22 January 1844 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.² Belinda Wheeler died in 1888 at Omaha, Douglas Co, Nebraska.³ She was buried on 10 March 1888 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Omaha, Douglas Co, Nebraska.³
     She and Thomas Nelson Spoor appeared on the census of 2 June 1860 at Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co, Iowa; Nelson T. Spoor, 31, postmaster, Emma S., 30, Mary, 6, Ellen J., 3 mos; Belinda Scott, 51, Allen M., 19 and ? Read?, 15.⁴ Belinda Wheeler appeared on the census of 1870 at Omaha, Douglas Co, Nebraska; Belinda was aged 61, born Vermont, living with her daughter's family, Milton Rogers, 45, and wife Jenny, 29, and children.⁵
