Matilda Jane Wait was born on 14 February 1850. She was the daughter of Jacob S. Wait and Elizabeth Trepania. Matilda Jane Wait was baptized on 24 March 1853 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Clarenceville Methodist Church. She died on 11 February 1869 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 18; Clarenceville Methodist Church. She was buried on 14 February 1869.
