Jonathan Wheeler was born on 30 May 1814 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Joseph Wheeler and Hannah Brown. Jonathan Wheeler was baptized on 5 October 1817 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Mary Scott, daughter of Thomas Scott Jr and Mary Bullis, on 16 February 1835 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. Jonathan Wheeler died after 1858; The family resided Stanbridge at the time of their daughter's baptism.
