John Tilley was baptized on 26 August 1599 at Henlow, Bedford Co, England.1 He was born in 1599 at Henlow, Bedford Co, England. He was the son of John Tilley and Joan Hurst. John Tilley died in October 1636 at Saybrook, Middlesex Co, Connecticut, at age 37; "tortured for three days by Indians."1
