James Wilson

M, b. circa 1830, d. 18 June 1865
     James Wilson was born circa 1830 at Quebec.1,2 He married Sarah Covey, daughter of Elisha (Elijah) Covey and Sarah Priest, on 27 February 1850 at Franklin Centre, Huntingdon Co, Quebec.3 James Wilson died on 18 June 1865 at Constable, Franklin Co, New York; His grave marker indicates he was 35 years old and 2 mos. His wife's death notice indicates he died from a fever contracted during the Civil War.2,4 He was buried at Irish Cemetery, Constable, Franklin Co, New York.2
     He appeared on the census of 1851 at Hinchenbrooke, Beauharnois Co, Quebec; James Wilson, 23, wife Sarah Covey, 21, and son George, 2, all born Quebec.5 He appeared on the census of 12 July 1860 at Constable, Franklin Co, New York; James Wilson, 29, Sarah, 27, George, 10, all b. Canada, Alfred, 7 and Wesley W., 4, b. NY.1
