Melinda Holt was born circa 1766 at Wallingford, New Haven Co, Connecticut; info taken from approximate birthdates of her siblings. She was the daughter of Moses Holt and Desire Hall. Melinda Holt married Joseph Burley Sr. on 10 August 1806 at Franklin, Franklin Co, Vermont. Melinda Holt died on 1 October 1834 at St Armand West, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She was buried on 2 October 1834 at Quebec.1
