Benjamin Vaughan was born circa 1758 at New Fairfield, Fairfield Co, Connecticut.1 He was the son of Josephus Vaughan and Rebecca Towner. Benjamin Vaughan married (?) Davis at Long Island, New York.1 Benjamin Vaughan died on 12 June 1835 at Perry Co, Indiana.2
Benjamin served with the British during the war, but after that, he married and returned to New Fairfield. About 1790 he moved to Essex Co, New York where he had ten children, before many went to Indiana.1
