Marilla Vaughan was born on 19 March 1800. She was the daughter of Josephus Vaughan and Elizabeth Hawley. Marilla Vaughan married Phillip Bissell on 8 November 1835 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Alburgh Vital Records. Marilla Vaughan died on 8 May 1876 at age 76.
